Basketball Game Preview: North Central Thunder vs. Stanley County Buffalos

The North Central Thunder will face off against the Stanley County Buffalos at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Central is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since February 20, 2024 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 63-33 loss at the hands of Lyman. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Raiders are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-16, which was the final score in Stanley County's tilt against Bennett County on Thursday.

Stanley County dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for North Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
