Softball Preview: Volcano Vista Hawks vs. Cibola Cougars

Breezy Griego made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Genevieve Tapia also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Cibola faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars came out on top against the Scorpions by a score of 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won four in a row.
