Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

If Franklin was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Rockdale last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the Bullard Panthers on Saturday, falling 10-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 23-4-2. As for Bullard, they pushed their record up to 26-3 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

Franklin and Bullard should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Lions will square off against Little River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 317). Meanwhile, Bullard (ranked 24th) will meet Palestine (ranked 775th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
