It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valley Falls had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Medicine Lodge Indians a 1-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Medicine Lodge's batters probably weren't too happy with Trenten VanHoutan, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up two walks). VanHoutan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Valley Falls' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Damian Cervantez, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Valley Falls' win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Medicine Lodge, they moved to 9-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Valley Falls nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
