Baseball Recap: Wickenburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mohave Accelerated on Friday, Wickenburg came back down to earth. The Wranglers fell just short of the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in March.

Wickenburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Forbrook, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Forbrook has hit this season.

Wickenburg now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Glendale Prep Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wickenburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Mountainside at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glendale Prep Academy will face off against rival Trivium Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
