Soccer Recap: Western Comes Up Short

Western was the 5-1 winner over Logansport when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers lost 9-0 to the Berries on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Western can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Logansport are ranked 34th).

Western has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-2 record this season. As for Logansport, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-2.

Coming up, Western will take on Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Logansport, they will square off against Marion at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
