Volleyball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Neuse Christian Academy and Lawrence Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Neuse Christian Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 25-14.

Reagan Johnson paced Neuse Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Johnson got some help from Evonna Brown and her 17 assists.

Neuse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Lawrence Academy, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawrence Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lee Christian on the 21st.
