Football Recap: Early County Bobcats vs. Mt. Zion Eagles
Early County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past the Mt. Zion Eagles with a 13-7 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Devonis Lee produced another solid effort rushing for 100 yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Evan Grist helped out on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Early County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Zion only rushed for 82.
Early County's record now sits at 9-3. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-4.
Coming up, Early County will face off against Screven County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gamecocks' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. Mt. Zion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
