Basketball Recap: Humboldt Takes a Loss

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-17 loss at the hands of the St. Paul Central Minutemen. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Minutemen from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Paul Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mireya Jefferson, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Cynara Easley, who scored 11 points.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for St. Paul Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt will venture away from home to face off against Avail Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul Central, they will face off against Irondale at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
