Basketball Recap: North Missouri HomeSchool Takes a Loss

North Missouri HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 83-71 to the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as North Missouri HomeSchool came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K is ranked 284th).

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Reed led the charge by going 9-for-15 on his way to 32 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The game was Reed's third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Leine, who dropped a triple-double with 13 points, 22 rebounds, and 11 assists.

North Missouri HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-15.

North Missouri HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they will face off against Metro Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Metro Academy likes a good challenge.
