Basketball Recap: Oneida's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rome Free Academy, Oneida was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 57-51 W over the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils. The victory was some much needed relief for the Express as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oneida's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Oneida will square off against Central Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Central Valley Academy's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Oneida has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-46 defeat against Holland Patent on the 23rd.
