Baseball Game Preview: Bear River Bruins vs. Wheatland Pirates

For the second straight game, Bear River will face off against Wheatland. The Bruins will take on the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear River's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Wheatland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bear River took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Wheatland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins won by a run and slipped past the Pirates 2-1.

For Wheatland's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cristian Haro, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Bear River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Wheatland, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-7.
