Basketball Recap: Fenton Beats Clio for Their Third Straight Win

Fenton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Clio Mustangs 54-38. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 34-23 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Clio still got an impressive performance from Ellie Neuhaus, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 55.3% of Clio's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Fenton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Clio, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Fenton will host Holly at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fenton is facing Holly at the right time seeing as Holly is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Clio, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hill-McCloy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
