Softball Recap: Dalhart Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Dalhart proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Perryton Rangers 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won six in a row.

Sydni Hyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Hyer was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyra Rivera, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Dalhart hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
