Apex had to settle for second on Tuesday, but DANE PURDY sure wasn't going down easily. PURDY struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). The performance also marked the fewest walks (zero) he has had since back in April of 2025.

PURDY and Apex will take on Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
