Softball Recap: Palma Comes Up Short

Palma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Alisal Trojans, falling 9-2. The game marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Keilani Pato-Guardado spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Palma saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Krystal Navarro, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Palma's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Alisal, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Palma and Alisal will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Palma sees the field they'll take on Aptos at 4:00 p.m. on April 4. As for Alisal, their break will end when they face Monte Vista Christian at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
