Softball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mountain Crest can now relate to. They fell just short of the Payson Lions by a score of 7-6 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on Thursday.

Mountain Crest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sage Walker, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Crest and nudges their season record down to 11-18. As for Payson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-6.

As of now, neither Mountain Crest nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
