Softball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

Sycamore was the 9-5 winner over Morris when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5-1. As for Morris, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore will venture away from home to take on Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morris, they will head out to square off against Plano at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Reapers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
