Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Raiders vs. John Glenn Little Muskies

For the second straight game, Morgan will face off against John Glenn. The Raiders will face off against the Little Muskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morgan has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morgan fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against John Glenn on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Muskies.

Witten Schaad was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Morgan got a big performance out of McGwire Winner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Landan Gheen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Morgan's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for John Glenn, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Morgan's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game.
