Basketball Recap: Homedale Takes a Loss

Homedale lost against McCall-Donnelly back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Homedale Trojans took a 48-33 bruising from the McCall-Donnelly Vandals.

Despite the loss, Homedale still got an impressive performance from Tiana Sorenson, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Belen Asumendi, who put up six points.

McCall-Donnelly had a senior duo take command as Lexie Arnold had 18 points and Zoe Spangenberg earned 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arnold has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Esplin, who posted five points.

Homedale now has a losing record at 6-7. As for McCall-Donnelly, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homedale will host Fruitland at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McCall-Donnelly, they will welcome Cole Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
