Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern lost to Christian Academy-Louisville back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Centurions by a score of 3-2.

EJ Eggen was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Eastern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Harwood, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Harwood's first of the season.

Eastern has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will challenge DeSales at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they will face off against Walton-Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
