Baseball Recap: Ludington Victorious

Ludington won the last time they faced Fremont and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Orioles walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Packers. That's two games straight that the Orioles have won by exactly three runs.

Karson Knowles was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Cooper Holmes was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Brody Kaminski, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ludington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Ludington's win bumped their record up to 10-7-2. As for Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9-1.
