Baseball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Loss

Cocke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-0 to the Mitchell Mountaineers.

Cocke County now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Mitchell, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cocke County will venture away from home to challenge Austin-East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mitchell, they will square off against Lakeway Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mountaineers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
