Soccer Game Preview: La Canada vs. Chaminade

The La Canada Spartans will be taking part in a tournament against the Chaminade Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

La Canada's tournament run continued when they took on Atascadero on Thursday. La Canada and Atascadero finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaminade). They ended the year with a bang, routing St. Monica Academy 9-2 on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Their offense was hitting St. Monica Academy from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Luke Stice led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

La Canada's draw makes their record 4-5-3 this season. As for Chaminade, their win bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
