Basketball Preview: Heide Trask Titans vs. Laney Buccaneers

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Matthias Sonne, who went 8 for 15 en route to 19 points plus seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gio Driggers, who went 6 for 7 en route to 14 points.
Meanwhile, Laney ended up a good deal behind Trinity Christian on Friday and lost 60-46.
Despite the defeat, Laney saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dylan Fortun had 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Montana Davis, who earned eight points.
Even though they lost, Laney was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian only racked up seven.
