Basketball Game Preview: Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars vs. Larimore Polar Bears

The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Griggs County Central/Midkota has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Larimore will arrive with four straight victories.

Griggs County Central/Midkota is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since January 3rd on Saturday. They came up short against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, falling 56-36. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Cougars' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Larimore slipped by Warwick 58-57 on Friday.

Griggs County Central/Midkota's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Larimore, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Griggs County Central/Midkota didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Larimore in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Griggs County Central/Midkota since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
