Basketball Recap: South Iredell Starts off Right with Win over Foard + How To Watch

South Iredell took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Foard Tigers with a sharp 70-46 win.

When it comes to explaining why Foard lost, don't look at Damarion Gaither-Walton. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and three steals. Holden Caldwell was another key player, putting up eight points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Iredell will welcome Surry Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Foard, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on St. Stephens at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
