Volleyball Recap: Barrington's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of four wins, Barrington's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Palatine Pirates by a score of 2-1. The Fillies/Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Kalyn Brookbank paced Barrington's offense, picking up 15 kills. Brookbank got some help from Eve Adler and her 26 assists. Jaelyn Connole controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Barrington's defeat dropped their record down to 25-13. As for Palatine, they pushed their record up to 29-7 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Barrington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palatine, they will square off against Fremd at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
