Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the KIPP Newark Lab Sharks. The Phoenix were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

University's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for KIPP Newark Lab, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, University will head out to face off against West Side at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Phoenix are facing the Roughriders at the right time seeing as the Roughriders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. KIPP Newark Lab has already played their next matchup (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
