Basketball Game Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. James Monroe Yellow Jackets

Having just played yesterday, the Culpeper County Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the James Monroe Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Culpeper County got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They took down Spotsylvania 64-49 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for James Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past King George 79-49 on Tuesday.

James Monroe has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Culpeper County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Culpeper County was dealt a bruising 84-44 defeat at the hands of James Monroe when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Culpeper County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
