Baseball Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

South Park had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 14-7 to make it five. They fell just short of the Riverside Panthers by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Riverside's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Barber, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Barber has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

As of now, neither South Park nor Riverside have any future games scheduled.
