Volleyball Recap: Vincennes Rivet Comes Up Short

Vincennes Rivet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Princeton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Vincennes Rivet sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 17-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-9.

Vincennes Rivet's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Princeton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-8.

Coming up, Vincennes Rivet will face off against Mt. Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Princeton, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Evansville Christian on the 4th.
