Wauwatosa East faced Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Red Raiders fell 2-0 to the Hawks. The Red Raiders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sylvia Flood paced Wauwatosa East's offense, picking up eight kills. Flood got some help from Evelynn Lasse and her seven assists. Margaret Hyland controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grace Hackl was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine matchups.

Wauwatosa East's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Xavier, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Wauwatosa East will face off against Menomonee Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Red Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Xavier, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Neenah on the 30th.
