Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. South Bulldogs

Bishop Watterson is 0-3 against South since March of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Bishop Watterson Eagles will take on the South Bulldogs in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

South will be up against a hot Bishop Watterson team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Bishop Watterson claimed a resounding 69-30 win over Linden-McKinley. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Meanwhile, South didn't have too much trouble with Hamilton Township on Tuesday as they won 75-58. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Rangers are ranked 120th).

South is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points over those games. As for Bishop Watterson, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.
