League recap: Cathedral Prep tops General McLane to extend winning streak

District 10 Region 6 AAA recap Nov. 7, 2012

Cathedral Prep extended the longest winning streak in District 10 Region 6 AAA this week by beating General McLane, 47-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.

McDowell took down Central Tech 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Cathedral Prep's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Damion Terry threw for 106 and one touchdown and Brendan Klemensic had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Delton Williams chipped in 205 yards. Williams helped Cathedral Prep's passing attack out by catching one ball for 26 yards.

Michael Mischler's team's Terry and Klemensic have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Terry has thrown for 2449 yards this season, while Klemensic, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 31 catches for 743 yards. The Trojans' James Conner leads the league in rushing yards with 1172.

McDowell led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Falcons.
