Soccer Recap: Unity Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Unity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Manteno Panthers. If Unity Christian Academy were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to Manteno when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Manteno, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will take on Grant Park in a tournament on Thursday. Unity Christian Academy will be up against Grant Park's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.87 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Manteno, they will take on Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
