Recap: Camelback Spartans vs. Central Bobcats
The Camelback Spartans entered their tilt with the Central Bobcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Camelback really took it to Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-20 win at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Camelback had established a 21 point advantage.
Camelback's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shawn Pereira, who rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Mortensen, who threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Khameron Athy, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
Camelback has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Camelback does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
