Basketball Recap: Caydon Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hernando Christian Academy over Canterbury

Hernando Christian Academy lost against Canterbury back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hernando Christian Academy Lions fell 46-33 to the Canterbury Crusaders. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Hernando Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caydon Williams, who posted seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Cedric Jackson, Jr., who scored eight points.

Hernando Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Canterbury, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Academy at the Lakes the next time they take the court. Canterbury will head out to face Academy at the Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Hernando Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
