Basketball Recap: Kailee Frank Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Irene/Wakonda

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerville, Burke was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Irene/Wakonda Eagles with a 56-52 victory.

Burke's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailee Frank, who posted 17 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Frank is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Annie Connot, who had 13 points along with five boards and four steals.

Burke was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Irene/Wakonda, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
