Wilson Prep won the last time they faced Northwest Halifax and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Deandre Sellers was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Parker Ginn was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Nazir Vines was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Wilson Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Wilson Prep and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Northwest Halifax, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Wilson Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair will be back at it again later today.
