Softball Recap: Mt. Ararat Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Mt. Ararat came up short against Messalonskee, falling 16-1. Mt. Ararat hasn't had much luck with Messalonskee recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mt. Ararat's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Messalonskee, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Ararat will head out to face off against Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Shipbuilders at the right time seeing as the Shipbuilders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Messalonskee, they will head out on the road to challenge Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
