Volleyball Game Preview: Big Walnut Golden Eagles vs. Worthington Kilbourne Wolves

The Big Walnut Golden Eagles will square off against the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Big Walnut is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Teays Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Big Walnut was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-11.

Peyton Gordon was nothing short of spectacular: she had 13 digs and three aces.

Gordon wasn't the only good servers: Big Walnut was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Worthington Kilbourne made easy work of Westerville Central on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Wolves have beaten the Warhawks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warhawks has come to flipping the script.

Big Walnut's record now sits at 18-6. As for Worthington Kilbourne, their record is now 19-5.
