Softball Recap: East Davidson Golden Eagles vs. Wheatmore Warriors
After losing to Wheatmore the last time they met, East Davidson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Eagles walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Warriors on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.
Kyleigh Hedrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 12 hits.
At the plate, East Davidson got a big performance out of SOPHIE HAMPTON, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
