Baseball Recap: Weatherford Takes a Loss

Weatherford's tournament run continued when they took on Boerne on Friday. The Weatherford Kangaroos took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boerne Greyhounds. The Kangaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weatherford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Mcclure, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Landon Boone also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Weatherford's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Boerne, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Weatherford will head out to take on Davenport at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Davenport: 3, Weatherford: 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Boerne, they will challenge Tivy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
