Two dominant  backs in  Anthony Eakin and  Kolton Carlson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Neshannock Lancers will venture away from home to  take on the Laurel Spartans  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Neshannock will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven  points  last Friday, then bounced right back against Summit Academy  on Saturday. The Lancers breezed past the Knights to the tune of  49-6. That 43 point margin sets a new team best for the Lancers this season.
Meanwhile, Laurel came tearing into  Friday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding  45-7 victory over the Rams. The  matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Spartans had established  a  24-point advantage.
Neshannock better keep an eye on  Luca Santini. He was instrumental in Laurel's win, throwing for 153 yards and three  touchdowns on only 11 passes. That's the most  passing yards  Santini has posted since back in October of 2024.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Laurel's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:   Player #71,  Tyler Fuchs,  and  Dom Willis, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
 Neshannock's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Laurel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
 Everything went Neshannock's way against Laurel in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as Neshannock made off with  a  27-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
