Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Nathan Crawford and Houma Yoshimochi Lead Cupertino to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Homestead, Cupertino was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over the MacDonald Condor. The win was some much needed relief for the Pioneers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Cupertino to victory were Houma Yoshimochi and Nathan Crawford. Yoshimochi went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points, while Crawford went 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Crawford a new career-high. Jason Shi was another key player, putting up nine points.

Cupertino's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for MacDonald, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cupertino will square off against Lynbrook at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for MacDonald, they will face off against Santa Clara at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
