Basketball Recap: Buffalo Island Central Takes a Loss

Buffalo Island Central lost against Riverside back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Buffalo Island Central Mustangs fell 55-48 to the Riverside Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Rebels are ranked 41st).

Buffalo Island Central has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Riverside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

Buffalo Island Central has already played their next matchup (against Corning), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverside has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Cross County.
