Basketball Recap: Evansville Bosse Takes a Loss

Evansville Bosse lost against Evansville Harrison back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs and the Evansville Harrison Warriors didn't end well, with the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs falling 56-42. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Evansville Bosse lost, don't look at Marrius Harris. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field to rack up 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Chinn, who posted 12 points.

Evansville Harrison was led to victory by Jay Summitt and Shane Sims. Summitt dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards, while Sims went 7-for-13 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and three steals. What's more, Summitt also posted an 83% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Dustin Gerner was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Evansville Bosse's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Evansville Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Evansville Bosse has already played their next game, a 53-52 defeat against Evansville Reitz on the 28th. As for Evansville Harrison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-42 victory against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 22nd.
