Softball Game Preview: Wynne Yellowjackets vs. Marion Patriots

Wynne is 2-8 against Marion since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 4:30 p.m.

Wynne lost 9-2 to Lonoke on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). Everything went their way against Nettleton on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Wynne's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Marion, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Wynne came up short against Marion when the teams last played back in March, falling 5-2. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
