Volleyball Recap: Dracut Takes a Loss

Dracut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Lawrence Lancers. If the Middies were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Lancers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 24-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Remey Nhim paced Dracut's offense, picking up eight kills. Nhim got some help from Jeremy Tong and his 22 assists. Nhim was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Dracut's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lawrence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dracut will host Greater Lowell Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gryphons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Middies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawrence, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. The Lancers are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
